Ladybird Combinations

Ladybird combinations provides children with opportunities to explore number. Children arrange discs such as counters or buttons on the ladybird’s wings to show the total shown. They record all combinations found in the box. Great for maths groups as a follow-up activity to the interactive digital resource Ladybird Spots. Print in colour and laminate as a reusable write-on wipe-off resource; or print in black and white when a record of children’s work is required. Teaching notes include ideas for extension including turnarounds, missing addends, subtraction, subitisation, counting on, and self-monitoring.
