The Samoan Learning Resource kit encourages and inspires learning and understanding about Samoan culture. Learning is reinforced through integrated messaging, themes and imagery across all parts of this kit. The kit includes images that are emphasised through learning playmats, blocks, wooden puzzles, posters, big picture books, suggested lesson ideas, interactive videos and Augmented Reality (AR) language cards in Samoan. These resources will create a multicultural environment where children can connect to their local and greater community. These resources aid in the promotion of understanding and acceptance of different cultures, languages, beliefs, appearances, families and lifestyles. As children gain an understanding of their community, they also gain an understanding of themselves. These products will hopefully inspire educators and parents to make their playroom or classroom more global. The more younger kids are exposed to cultures from around the world, the more open and receptive they will be as they grow up to become compassionate global citizens.
